B. Sc. Medical Microbiology:
B.Sc. in Medical Microbiology (3 years course), aims to provide a basic introduce to principles and application relevance of clinical disease caused by various pathogens and deals with all the clinical laboratory investigations.
The course content includes all etiological information on bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites related to global infectious diseases in humans.
The course will provide the conceptual basis for understanding all areas of a clinical laboratory including blood banking, clinical biochemistry, hematology, immunology, histopathology, and medical microbiology.
It will also provide opportunities for a student to develop diagnostic skills in microbiology, including the practical application and interpretation of laboratory tests for the diagnosis of infectious diseases.
Students will gain knowledge on the examination of clinical samples like blood, tissue, and body fluids in laboratory diagnosis.
At the end of the course, the students will achieve knowledge of the inter-relationship between microbiological and chemical testing and the resulting clinical manifestations in clinical, scientific, and industrial settings.
B. Sc. Biotechnology:
B.Sc. in Biotechnology honors (4 years course), aims to train students in Biotechnology and acquire knowledge in fundamentals of biochemistry, microbiology, Molecular biology, and bioinformatics and will develop disciplinary theory and practical knowledge in the diversified areas of biotechnology.
Engineering and technology principles could be used to learn technologies, devices, and systems that require substantive expertise in biology, agriculture, and pharmaceutical industries as well as clinical research components.
The students in this program acquire knowledge of critical thinking skills and experience in research-based theory and practical.
This will enable the students to equip themselves with basic practical training in different areas of Biotechnology having plant and animal biotechnology, biomolecules, genomics and proteomics, and so on.
Overall students will acquire knowledge of the avenues for research and higher academic achievements in the field of Biotechnology and allied subjects.
