BFAD First Year Practical Jury Concludes at AIFT

BFAD First Year Practical Jury Concludes at Axis Institute of Fashion Technology Dr. Neelam Yadav (Seth Anandram Jaipuria, Kanpur) praises Student’s WorkJuly 28, 2025The practical examination for the first-year Bachelor of Fashion & Apparel and Design (BFAD) students was successfully conducted by the AIFT department at Axis College, Kanpur.

The purpose of this examination was to evaluate the design, material exploration practices and software design understanding acquired by the students throughout the Semester.

Dr Neelam Yadav, a distinguished Exminer from the prestigious Seth Anandram Jaipuria in Kanpur, was invited as the external examiner for this jury. She judged students assignments carefully and scored them according to their originality, skill, and present there ideas, viva voce, and PowerPoint presentations.

During the Jury, students displayed their skills in basic model drawings, colour composition, design process, and photography.Several students presented design projects inspired by sustainability and recyclability, focusing on environment, society, and culture, which reflected their deep understanding of the subjects and their creative abilities.

Dr Neelam Yadav encouraged the students to keep practising diligently and said, “The originality and dedication in the students’ work are clearly visible. If this trend continues, these students will bring pride to the nation in the future.”The Head of the Department and the concerned teachers played a significant role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination.

They provided students with a platform to express themselves on this occasion and encouraged them to embrace art not just as a subject, but as a perspective on life. The college administration also extended gratitude to the external examiner and wished the students well for the future. In addition to providing students with an opportunity for self-evaluation, this test inspired them to pursue additional artistic endeavours.
