Department of Management successfully held a Youth Parliament

The Department of Management successfully held a Youth Parliament Competition on 16th September 2025, allowing students to experience the realities of parliamentary democracy.

The competition featured special guests who urged students to participate in nation-building and the democratic process.

The competition was structured similarly to a Parliament, with students acting as Speaker, Council of Ministers, Leader of the Opposition, and Members of Parliament.

A Zero Hour also took place, giving participants the opportunity to raise issues of public importance.Participants had lively debates on topics such as preventing cyber fraud, sustainable development, youth employment policy, ethical use of artificial intelligence, and empowering women.

Participants demonstrated reasoning skills, strong rebuttals, and proper parliamentary decorum.

A panel of evaluators chose participants on clarity, content, presentation skills, proper procedures, and team work. Winners were awarded certificates, and mementos for excellent performances.

Deeksha Kashyap from the Ruling Party and Abhay from the Opposition Party secured the First Position in the Youth Parliament Competition.

Overall, the competition was a powerful experiential learning opportunity, while building students’ communication, leadership and critical thinking skills, and building a greater sense of social and national responsibility.
