Poster Presentation by AIFT Student’s at UPTTI Kanpur
Axis Institute of Fashion Technology (AIFT), Kanpur Students, showcased an impressive participation at the two-day Conference titled “Color Conclave for Textiles and Apparel 2025”, organized by Uttar Pradesh Textile Technology Institute (UPTTI),

Kanpur on 21–22 November 2025.
On this occasion, AIFT students Tavishi Joshi, Yusra Fatima, and Arushi Yadav, from the programs BFAD (Bachelor in Fashion and Apparel Design) and FDGT (Fashion Design and Garment Technology), presented a poster based on the theme “Reinventing Denim: Sustainable Upcycling of Discarded Jeans for Contemporary Fashion Innovation.”
Their research highlighted an innovative approach to re-use discarded denim jeans through upcycling, transforming them into Contemporary Garments & Accessories ,
while addressing rising environmental challenges in the fashion industry. The study emphasized the reduction of textile waste, the promotion of sustainable fashion, and the scope for innovative design development. The students were mentored by Assistant Professor Mr. Amar Srivastava, provided significant technical guidance required for the preparation and presentation process for Poster Presentation Competition.
