Educational Visit -CRAFTROOTS EXHIBITION: Axis institute of Fashion Technology organised Educational visit at Craftroots for the students of BACHELOR OF FASHION AND APPAREL DESIGN degree students, which celebrates Tradition and Creativity.
CRAFTROOTS is a major Indian initiative and recurring exhibition that showcases traditional Indian handicrafts, textiles, jewellery, and art from artisans across numerous states, focusing on reviving, sustaining, and sharing heritage crafts with a contemporary touch, featuring vibrant cultural experiences with fashion.
Students gain a deep understanding of India’s diverse and rich craft heritage, including handloom weaving, natural dyeing, block printing, and various forms of embroidery. This exposure to traditional techniques is a core part of their curriculum as it bridges traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern aesthetics and sustainable practices, offering immersive learning and industry exposure.
