Visit to CIMAP

Visit to CIMAP-AIP

Axis Colleges organized an educational visit to the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) in Lucknow for its pharmacy students.

As part of their curriculum, this visit aimed to explore various commercially viable Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) beneficial for both the industry and society.

During this excursion, our students immersed themselves in practical knowledge acquisition, utilizing CIMAP’s state-of-the-art facilities, including a multidisciplinary laboratory and a modern manav garden.

These resources are instrumental in the development of herbal products.

Moreover, students meticulously observed numerous medicinal plants such as Kigelia africana, Vetiveria zizanioides, Cissampelos pareira, Artemisia vulgaris, Alpinia galanga, and Ocimum basilicum.

This hands-on experience provided them with a deep understanding of pilot-scale processing units, extraction technologies related to Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs), and the analysis of secondary metabolites found in plants.

This educational visit underscores our college’s commitment to providing practical knowledge and real-world experiences to our students.
