The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Axis Institute of Technology & Management , successfully organized a 10-days CNC (Computer Numerical Control) training programme for the second-year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students. The training programme was conducted with the objective of providing practical exposure to modern manufacturing technology and enhancing the technical skills of students in line with current industrial requirements.
During the training, students received hands-on experience in CNC machine operation, CNC programming, G & M codes, tool setting, workpiece alignment, machining operations, industrial safety practices, quality inspection, and machine maintenance. The programme included both theoretical sessions and practical demonstrations, enabling students to understand the complete CNC machining process and its applications in the manufacturing industry.
Congratulating the participants, Shri Raj Kushwaha, Chairman of Axis Colleges, appreciated the initiative and emphasized that practical skill development and industrial training are essential for producing competent and industry-ready engineers. Prof. Dr. Ashish Malik, Director, Axis Colleges, highlighted that such value-added training programmes strengthen students’ technical knowledge, confidence, and employability while bridging the gap between classroom learning and industrial expectations.
