Department of EE/ECE recently conducted Electronic workshop for second year students. This workshop provided practical experience in working with electronic components and systems, essential for developing technical skills to students. Workshop enhanced problem-solving abilities by allowing students to troubleshoot and repair electronic devices and also enabled them to design and testing of new ideas and concepts, fostering innovation. Students gained practical skills through direct engagement with tools, materials, and techniques and also learned to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems and projects.
Due to the complex nature of electronics theory, laboratory experimentation is an important part of the development of electronic devices. This workshop provides platform for experiments that are used to test or verify the engineer’s design and detect errors. In workshop student gained knowledge about Development Platforms, Interface Boards and sensors under the guidance of faculties.
Students worked upon Development Platforms which are circuit boards with micro-controllers, Aurdino boards, Raspberry Pi. They process inputs such as motion, light, touch, and temperature, and they control output such as lights, motors, and audio.
Students also engaged in hands on session on Interface Boards and sensors interface board can be used with microcontrollers for wireless/ bluetooth/ cellular connectivity and Sensors are an important part of any electronic project as they help in getting the data from the environment such as motion, temperature, light, proximity, pressure, humidity, touch, and more.
Overall session was interactive students not only learned about electronic components, circuit design, and practical applications, but also developed problem-solving skills, teamwork, and confidence in handling real-world projects. This workshop has shown us that electronics is not just about wires and circuits—it is about innovation, creativity, and turning ideas into reality. The enthusiasm and active participation from each student truly made this workshop successful and meaningful.
