Hackastra 1.0: A Grand Coding Event at Axis Institute of Higher Education

The Axis Institute of Higher Education successfully organized its much-awaited coding event, Hackastra 1.0, on March 30, 2026. The event marked a significant step toward promoting technical skills and innovation among students. It was formally inaugurated by the Director of AIHE, Dr. Ankur Jauhari, who motivated participants with his inspiring words.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from BCA first-year students, while the smooth execution and management were handled by the BCA second-year students. Hackastra 1.0 was designed in a structured three-phase format to evaluate students’ knowledge and practical coding abilities.

The first round consisted of an MCQ-based assessment, where students were tested on fundamental concepts. A total of 94 participants successfully qualified for the second round. The second phase focused on basic programming skills, further shortlisting 30 students for the final round. The last and most challenging round tested advanced problem-solving abilities and coding efficiency.

In the final results, Vishal secured the first position, showcasing exceptional coding skills. Abhishek Kushwaha was declared the runner-up, while Vibhor Shrivastava achieved third place.

The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by Dr. Vipul Mishra, who appreciated the efforts and dedication of all participants and encouraged them to continue enhancing their technical expertise.

The event was efficiently coordinated by faculty members including Ashish Shukla, Pooja Dwivedi, Maitri S. Katiyar, Amarnath Awasthi, Akash Dubey, Vinay Yadav, Md. Owais Khan, and Prateek Singh.

Overall, Hackastra 1.0 proved to be a highly engaging and informative event, providing students with valuable exposure to real-world coding challenges and enhancing their practical learning experience.
