AITM Kanpur Industrial Visit to Lohia Corp Limited
The Mechanical Engineering Department of Axis Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), Kanpur successfully organized an enriching industrial visit to Lohia Corp Limited as part of its experiential learning initiative.
The visit aimed to provide students with real-time industrial exposure and bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and practical application.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Director Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Malik and Head of Department Mr. Arun Dwivedi, with coordination support from Ms. Kirandeep Kaur, Manager – Corporate Relations Cell. The initiative reflects the visionary leadership of Chairman Mr. Raj Kushwaha Sir, whose continuous encouragement strengthens industry–academia collaboration.
During the visit, students explored advanced manufacturing processes and plastic processing machinery developed at Lohia Corp. Industry experts shared insights into modern production techniques, quality control systems, safety standards, and industrial automation practices used in large-scale manufacturing. Students also learned about current industrial challenges and innovative strategies adopted to maintain global standards and operational efficiency.
Faculty members Mr. Ankit Singh, Mr. Sandeep Yadav, Ms. Swati Verma, and Mr. Kuldip Kumar accompanied the students, facilitating interactive discussions and technical exchanges with company professionals.
The visit proved to be highly informative and inspiring, enhancing students’ practical understanding of mechanical engineering concepts. Such initiatives reaffirm AITM’s commitment to holistic technical education and preparing future engineers for professional excellence.
