Axis Colleges Students Make Global Mark at IIT Bombay–Hult Prize Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2025 Axis Colleges, Kanpur, has emerged as a significant contributor to India’s growing student entrepreneurship ecosystem after its students delivered an exceptional performance at the Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2025, jointly organized by IIT Bombay and Hult Prize India.
Competing against more than 2,500 participants from across the world, Axis Colleges students secured global rankings and certifications, placing the institution firmly on the national and international map.
The standout performance came from Uday Mishra, a third-year B.Tech (Information Technology) student, who secured Position 2 globally, earning a place among the Top 5 teams worldwide.
Notably, he missed the first position by a narrow margin of just 0.5 marks, underlining the intense competition and high standards of the bootcamp.
Axis Colleges is the only institution from Kanpur to achieve a Top 5 global rank in the bootcamp.In addition to this achievement, five other students from Axis Colleges secured positions within the Top 20 global ranks, earning Certificates of Distinction.
The achievers include Harsh Awasthi (Position 8, BBA 2nd year), Satyam Kushwaha (Position 10, BCA 3rd year), Saksham Sharma (Position 15, BCA 3rd year), Saumya Omar (Position 18, BCA 1st year), and Kajal Singh (Position 20, BCA 1st year).
Out of the 234 completion certificates awarded globally, an impressive 135 were secured by students of Axis Colleges, reflecting the institution’s strong emphasis on entrepreneurship and experiential learning.
The achievement highlights the role of the Sand Tank Startup Foundation (STSF), the incubation and innovation hub of Axis Colleges, which has been actively mentoring students, encouraging participation in global platforms, and fostering a startup-driven mindset on campus.
