Axis Institute of Pharmacy Organized World Health Day Awareness Programme at Kanya Upper Primary School, Karanipur, Unnao On the occasion of World Health Day, Axis Institute of Pharmacy, Axis Colleges organized a comprehensive health awareness programme at Kanya Upper Primary School, Karanipur, Unnao with the theme “Together for Health: Stand with Science.”
The programme was conducted with the objective of spreading awareness about the importance of health, hygiene, and scientific healthcare practices among rural communities.Students of the institute actively participated in various awareness activities and demonstrated their commitment toward community health.
A major highlight of the programme was a Nukkad Natak (street play) performed by the students, through which they effectively conveyed important messages related to disease prevention, cleanliness, balanced nutrition, and the importance of timely medical consultation.
The performance attracted the attention of villagers and successfully delivered health-related information in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner.In addition to the street play, a health awareness rally was organized in the village, where students carried placards and raised slogans promoting hygiene, vaccination, and healthy lifestyle practices.
The rally encouraged villagers to adopt preventive healthcare measures and highlighted the importance of regular medical checkups. The enthusiastic participation of students created a positive and energetic atmosphere throughout the village.As part of the programme, a quiz competition was also conducted for school children to assess and enhance their knowledge about health and hygiene.
The activity encouraged students to learn about healthy habits in an interactive way and helped create awareness among young learners about the significance of maintaining good health from an early age.Furthermore, a health check-up camp was set up for the villagers, where general health examinations such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and basic medical assessments were conducted. Necessary guidance regarding diet, hygiene, and disease prevention was provided to the participants.
Free medicines were also distributed to the villagers as per medical advice, ensuring that essential healthcare support reached the community.On this occasion, Chairman Mr. Raj Kushwaha appreciated the efforts of students and faculty members for organizing such a meaningful community outreach programme. He stated that spreading health awareness in rural areas is a social responsibility and plays a vital role in building a healthier society.
Director Dr. Ashish Malik emphasized that community-based activities like health camps and awareness programmes provide students with practical exposure to public health services while simultaneously benefiting society.
Head of the Department, Dr. Esha Yadav, highlighted that participation in such initiatives helps students develop compassion, social responsibility, and communication skills, which are essential qualities for healthcare professionals.
