Interior Design 2nd year final Viva Completed Diploma in Interior Design Students Successfully Complete Second-Year External Jury at Axis Institute of Architecture Kanpur

June 2026: The Department of Architecture at Axis Institute of Architecture, Axis Colleges, proudly conducted the Second-Year External Jury for the students of the Diploma in Interior Design, marking the successful completion of their academic year.

The jury served as a comprehensive evaluation of the students’ creative abilities, technical knowledge, and understanding of interior design principles.

The external jury provided students with an opportunity to present their semester-long design projects before a panel of experienced external jurors comprising architects and interior design professionals.

Throughout the session, students confidently showcased their work, explaining the complete design process from concept development to the final execution of their projects.

The presentations included detailed design concepts, client requirements, literature studies, case studies, space planning, furniture layouts, material selections, colour schemes, lighting strategies, and functional zoning.

Students demonstrated their understanding of creating aesthetically pleasing and functional interior environments while considering user comfort, ergonomics, sustainability, and contemporary design trends.

To effectively communicate their ideas, students presented a comprehensive set of architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, ceiling layouts, furniture details, and working drawings.

They also showcased 3D rendered views, interior visualizations, mood boards, material palettes, and physical models, enabling the jury to gain a clear understanding of their proposed design solutions.

The external jurors appreciated the students’ creativity, presentation skills, and attention to detail. They engaged in interactive discussions, evaluating the students’ design methodologies, planning approaches, selection of materials, spatial organization, and technical execution.

The jurors also provided valuable suggestions and professional insights, encouraging students to refine their ideas and continue developing innovative and practical interior design solutions.

Faculty members of the department expressed their satisfaction with the students’ performance and applauded their dedication, creativity, and hard work throughout the academic session.
