Talk by Alumni and Experts: Connecting Learning from Classroom to Industry Practices
Axis Colleges, Department of CSE/IT organized two sessions that aimed to give students a better insight into software industry and job opportunities in the realm of technology.
Department of CSE/IT had the honor of inviting Mr. Hariom Vishwakarma, Software Developer at VOXIRAD for an illuminating Alumni Talk. Based on his professional experience, Mr. Vishwakarma gave a lot of useful information about software development, expectations in the industry, skills required to work there, and career opportunities. Professional advice by the expert was helpful to students as it told them what to expect from employers and how to prepare themselves for a career in IT industry.
Department of CSE/IT also had an interesting session by Ms. Yesra Fatima who is Flutter App Developer and Co-organizer of Flutter Kanpur. During her talk, she introduced students to the sphere of Flutter-based mobile applications development and explained the increasing number of opportunities in mobile applications development.
The speakers gave practical information and experience that went beyond theoretical learning at the classroom helping students to realize the importance of certain skills and knowledge in the industry.
Sessions were an invaluable experience for the students and served as a bridge between academic learning and industry practices. Department of CSE/IT thanks Mr. Hariom Vishwakarma and Ms. Yesra Fatima for giving students an opportunity to learn something new and useful.
