Students of the Bachelor of Architecture programme and the Diploma in Interior Design programme – Second and Third Year recently embarked on an insightful case study visit designed to enhance their understanding of real-world design practices and professional execution.
The visit provided students with an opportunity to closely observe and analyse various aspects of interior design, furniture, spatial planning, material selection, detailing, and space decoration. Through direct interaction with professionally designed spaces, students were able to understand how theoretical concepts taught in classrooms are transformed into functional, aesthetically engaging, and user-oriented environments.
During the visit, students explored the importance of effective furniture placement, circulation planning, proportions, interior aesthetics, and the relationship between functionality and visual appeal. The experience also enabled them to observe the selection and application of materials, finishes, textures, colours, and decorative elements that collectively contribute to the overall character and identity of an interior space.
