Visit to the 765 KV substation

Visit to the 765 KV substation Axis Colleges is dedicated to hands-on learning and exposing students to the real world. To show this, they took their engineering students on an exciting trip to the 765 KV Substation in Dahi Chowki, Unnao. This instructional program was meant to give people a personal look at high-voltage power transmission lines, which are one of the most important parts of the country’s electricity infrastructure.

The goal of the excursion was to connect what students learned in the classroom with what they could see in the real world. They got to see massive electrical systems in action. The 765 KV substation, run by the Power Grid Corporation of India, is very important for sending power across several states. For the students, this was a unique and valuable chance to learn a lot about how to run, keep up, and keep safe a facility with such a high capacity.

Students learned about many parts of the substation during the visit, such as transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, and protective relays. Engineers and substation workers with a lot of experience held workshops to teach people about how the grid works, how to find faults, and how to dispatch loads. They also talked about how important it is to monitor these high-voltage networks in real time, make sure the systems are reliable, and keep the voltage stable.

This experience was extremely helpful for Electrical and Electronics Engineering students since it gave them real-world examples of theoretical ideas like switchgear technology, insulation coordination, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. Students participated in conversations, asked smart questions, and made notes on technical information that will be useful for their future studies and careers.

Axis Colleges wants to prepare engineers for the workforce by including hands-on learning in the classroom. Visits to innovative facilities like the Dahi Chowki substation not only teach students more about technology, but they also encourage them to work in power systems, energy management, and grid automation.

This tour went off without a hitch, which shows how committed Axis Colleges is to experiential learning and its goal of making sure that what students learn is in line with what they will need to know in the real world. The institution thanks the substation authorities for their help and looks forward to setting up more of these kinds of hands-on industrial events in the future.
