Career Talk on “Employability in the AI Era” Empowers Students at Axis Institute of Technology and Management
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Axis Institute of Technology and Management, working under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized a highly insightful Career Talk on “Employability in the AI Era: Skills and Mindsets to Enable Success” on 6th February 2026.
The session was conducted as part of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 | EduSkills Pre-Summit Engagements, aiming to prepare students for the rapidly evolving technology landscape shaped by Artificial Intelligence. The talk examined how artificial intelligence transformed various business sectors while showing that companies need employees who possess both technical skills and flexible thinking abilities and exceptional problem-solving skills. The speaker emphasized the importance of developing in-demand skills such as data literacy, AI fundamentals, cloud computing, and analytical thinking.
Students needed to develop soft skills which included communication and collaboration and creativity and continuous learning because these skills would help them succeed in a world dominated by artificial intelligence. The session offered practical guidance on aligning academic learning with industry expectations. The session used real-world examples together with emerging career trends to demonstrate to students how automation and artificial intelligence technology changes existing job roles yet generates fresh employment opportunities.
Students used the interactive session to present their questions and share their thoughts while they learned about potential career paths. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students who found the discussion both motivating and future-oriented. The Career Talk served as a platform which connected academic training with professional employment requirements while encouraging students to develop their abilities through continuous education.
