Grand Success of ICAR-APRPB 2026: Advancing Pharmaceutical & Biological Sciences through Artificial Intelligence
Axis Institute of Pharmacy, under the aegis of Axis Colleges, successfully hosted the Two-Day International Conference on Advanced Research: AI-Powered Revolution in Pharmaceutical & Biological Sciences (ICAR-APRPB 2026) on 21st–22nd February 2026. The conference was organized in collaboration with the Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research and brought together leading minds to deliberate on the transformative theme, “Redefining Pharmaceutical & Biological Sciences through the Power of Artificial Intelligence.”
The event witnessed active participation from national and international academicians, scientists, industry professionals, research scholars, and students, creating a vibrant global forum for scholarly exchange. The esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Gyanendra Nath Singh, Advisor, Food Safety & Drug Administration to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated the conference and highlighted the growing importance of AI-driven innovations in drug regulation and public health systems.
The Guests of Honour — Prof. Ashok Pandey, Director, CEES, Lucknow; Dr. Ajay Sachan, Deputy Drugs Controller, CDSCO (North Zone); and Mr. Harish K. Jain, Director, Embiotic Laboratories — enriched the occasion with their valuable perspectives on emerging research trends and regulatory advancements in pharmaceutical sciences.
The inaugural session was followed by a series of impactful keynote lectures delivered by eminent global experts including Gan Siew Hua (University of Cyberjaya), Dr. Rajnish Kumar (IIT BHU), Rui Oliveira (NOVA University, Lisbon), Dr. Shiv Poojan (Biotox Solutions), and Dr. Uma Shankar (CSIR–IITR). Their sessions explored AI applications in drug discovery, toxicology, precision medicine, bioinformatics, and pharmaceutical analytics. Additional expert talks by Dr. Tan Siew Mei, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Srivastava, and Dr. Konda Aravind Kumar further broadened the academic discourse.
UG and PG students, along with research scholars, actively contributed through oral and poster presentations in both online and offline modes. The conference also featured a prestigious award ceremony recognizing excellence in research and innovation, including honors such as the Young Scientist Award, Early Career Researcher Award, and Industry–Academia Collaboration Award.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Mr. Raj Kushwaha emphasized that integrating Artificial Intelligence with pharmaceutical sciences represents the future of healthcare innovation. He stated that Axis Colleges remains committed to providing platforms that nurture visionary research and global academic partnerships.
Director Dr. Ashish Malik noted that ICAR-APRPB 2026 successfully bridged the gap between academia and industry by promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and technology-driven research approaches.
Head of the Department, Dr. Esha Yadav, expressed pride in the enthusiastic participation of students and researchers. She highlighted that such conferences enhance analytical thinking, research orientation, and professional confidence among young scholars.
The conference concluded with a dignified valedictory session, marking the successful culmination of two days dedicated to knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation.
