Industrial Visit to Amul Dairy The Axis Institute of Higher Education, which wants its students to learn outside of the classroom, took its BBA and BCA final-year students on a visit of Amul Dairy. The purpose of this tour was to provide students a better idea of how businesses work in the real world and to help them understand how big companies work in fast-paced, tech-driven environments.
Amul, a well-known name and one of India’s most successful dairy cooperatives, was the right place for students to see how business management and information technology work together. The tour gave us a lot of information about how modern dairy farms work, including how they make things, manage their supply chains, control quality, promote their products, and use IT.
During the visit, the students learned about many steps in the dairy processing process, such as collecting and testing milk, pasteurizing it, packaging it, and storing it in a cold place. They also learned about Amul’s strong supply chain network and effective logistics systems, which make sure that products are delivered on time all over the country. BBA students learned a lot about how businesses work, how to manage brands, and how to run a cooperative. BCA students looked at how IT can be used in the dairy industry for things like automation, inventory control, and data management.
Amul’s team of professionals gave an interesting presentation about how technology and new ideas are important for keeping product quality high, making sure that products can be traced, and helping with large-scale distribution. Students learnt about how Amul uses ERP systems, database management, and software tools to make operations and decision-making easier.
The visit also included interactive Q&A sessions where students talked about genuine problems that the business is facing right now and how they can apply what they’ve learned in class to real life. It was a great chance for children to see how their schoolwork relates to what employers want and to picture what their future jobs in business or technology would be like.
We at Axis Institute of Higher Education think that giving students the chance to see industry standards, professional practices, and new ideas in action is a great way to empower them. The trip to Amul Dairy not only made the BBA and BCA students’ academic lives better, but it also made them more confident about their future careers by encouraging them to think critically and learn practically.Â
