The Sports Electric Buggy, developed by the students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Axis Institute of Technology and Management, is a technically advanced electric mobility prototype engineered with a strong emphasis on performance, structural stability, and precision control.

The buggy is equipped with a dual hub motor configuration, designed using reverse engineering techniques to optimize torque distribution, enhance traction efficiency, and ensure effective power delivery. This independent motor setup minimizes transmission losses and significantly improves maneuverability across varied terrains.

A refined gear transmission system facilitates smooth torque transfer and controlled acceleration, contributing to superior mechanical efficiency and operational stability.

The project of the Sports Electric Buggy was guided by Mr. Ankit Singh, Ms. Swati Verma, Mr. Sandeep Yadav, Mr. Santosh Kumar and Mr. Arun Kumar Dwivedi (HOD-ME). The vehicle is constructed on a high-strength steel chassis, providing exceptional rigidity, durability, and impact resistance under dynamic loading conditions.

The reinforced structural framework enhances stability during high-speed motion and sharp cornering. It also integrates an advanced speed control and braking system, ensuring responsive deceleration and balanced handling.

Performance evaluations indicate that the buggy accelerates from 0 to 65 km/h in just 10.2 seconds, while the incorporation of the reverse tracking principle strengthens steering precision and directional control. The core team members include Shubhankar Omer, Aakash Khushwaha, Manish Pal, Surya Pratap Pal, Sujal Kumar and Anand Kumar.

On this remarkable achievement, Institute Director Dr. Ashish Malik congratulated the students and faculty mentors for their dedication, technical excellence, and innovative approach towards sustainable mobility solutions. He appreciated their commitment to practical learning and encouraged them to continue contributing to advanced engineering innovations.

Honourable Chairman Mr. Raj Kushwaha Sir also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the student team and guiding faculty members, stating that such innovative projects reflect the institute’s strong focus on experiential learning, research culture, and technological advancement. He expressed confidence that the students efforts will inspire future engineers and bring pride to the institution.
