Architecture Students Showcase Innovative Group Housing Elevations and Sections Bachelor of Architecture students presented section, elevation, and planning concepts for group housing to the internal jury panelThe Bachelor of Architecture students recently conducted an academic presentation showcasing their design proposals focused on group housing, emphasizing section, elevation, and elevation planning.

The event highlighted the students’ understanding of spatial organization, architectural detailing, and contextual responsiveness, forming an integral part of their design studio evaluation. The presentations reflected a diverse range of concepts, where students explored modern housing needs while addressing factors such as sustainability, community interaction, and efficient land use.

Through their section drawings, students demonstrated a clear grasp of vertical spatial relationships, structural systems, and the integration of light and ventilation. Their elevation designs further illustrated thoughtful attention to façade treatment, materiality, and aesthetic coherence within urban settings.

The jury panel for the evaluation comprised an internal jury member who assessed the projects based on creativity, technical accuracy, and conceptual clarity. The session provided a constructive platform for students to articulate their design intent and receive valuable feedback to refine their work further. The presence of the Director, Dr. Rishi Raj Kapoor, added significance to the Jury.

He appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to continue pushing the boundaries of architectural thinking while remaining grounded in practical and contextual realities. He also emphasized the importance of balancing innovation with functionality in contemporary housing design.

Throughout the session, students confidently explained their design processes, site considerations, and the rationale behind their planning strategies. The interactive nature of the jury allowed for in-depth discussions, enabling students to critically evaluate their own work and learn from their peers.

Such academic exercises play a crucial role in shaping future architects by enhancing their presentation skills, technical knowledge, and design sensibilities. The event concluded on a positive note, with students gaining insights that will aid them in advancing their architectural journey and preparing for professional practice.
