Axis Colleges Celebrates International Yoga Day with Great Enthusiasm
Kanpur, June 21, 2026: Axis Colleges celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, faculty members, and staff. The event was organized under the guidance of CE HOD Md. Shariq with the objective of promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle among the youth.
The program commenced with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of Yoga Day and the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life. A large number of students gathered on the college campus and actively participated in various yoga sessions conducted by Mr. Vivek Mishra, a Yoga Trainer from the Uttar Pradesh Yoga and Sports Association. Under his expert guidance, participants performed different yoga asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques aimed at improving concentration, flexibility, and overall health.
Faculty members also enthusiastically joined the students in practicing yoga, creating an atmosphere of unity and collective well-being. Their active participation encouraged students to understand that yoga is beneficial for people of all age groups and professions. The session witnessed a spirit of discipline, positivity, and energy as everyone practiced together.
During the program, Director Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Malik addressed the gathering and explained the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy body and a peaceful mind.
