The Second Semester (BFAD) Practical Jury was conducted to assess the students’ creative abilities, technical knowledge, and overall understanding of the fashion industry through both practical and theory-based subjects. The jury was evaluated by an industry expert , giving students an opportunity to present their skills, creativity, and professional growth in different areas of fashion and design.
In “Design Process” subject allowed students to present their research work, mood boards, concept development, and the journey of transforming ideas into final designs. Their projects clearly demonstrated creativity, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
The Adobe Photoshop, students showcased their skills in digital editing, creative presentation layouts, and visual communication. Their work reflected originality, attention to detail, and a good understanding of modern design tools used in the fashion industry.
Through “Material Studies”, students displayed their understanding of fabrics, textile characteristics, textures, and the practical use of materials in fashion and garment construction.
In “Fashion Model Drawing”, students presented their illustration skills through fashion figures, garment rendering, body proportions, poses, and creative sketches that are essential in fashion design.
The “Communicating Fashion Modular” jury helped students improve their presentation and communication skills by expressing their fashion ideas through visual and verbal methods. Their presentations showed confidence, clarity, and professionalism.
In “Photography”, students demonstrated practical knowledge of camera techniques, lighting, composition, styling, and fashion photography concepts commonly used in the fashion and advertising field.
Overall, the practical jury reflected the students’ dedication, hard work, creativity, and passion for fashion and design. The projects and presentations highlighted their originality, technical skills, and growing professional confidence. The External Examiner appreciated the students’ sincere efforts, innovative ideas, and creative execution, while also praising the department for maintaining high academic and practical standards in the BFAD programme.
