NSS Unit of AIHE Organises Powerful Nukkad Natak “NASHA: THE WRONG TURN – Ek Mod Jo Zindagi Badal De”
The NSS Unit of Axis Institute of Higher Education (AIHE), under the aegis of Axis Colleges, organised a powerful and thought-provoking Nukkad Natak titled “NASHA: THE WRONG TURN – Ek Mod Jo Zindagi Badal De” to spread awareness among students and the community about the serious consequences of substance abuse.
Through an engaging street play, the students presented realistic situations depicting how substance abuse can begin with a seemingly small or casual decision but gradually turn into a destructive habit. The performance highlighted its adverse impact on an individual’s physical and mental health, education, career, relationships, family life and social well-being.
With energetic performances, impactful dialogues and relatable situations, the students effectively conveyed the message that one wrong turn can change the course of an entire life. The Nukkad Natak particularly focused on the vulnerability of young people to peer pressure and negative influences and encouraged them to make informed, responsible and healthy choices.
The students also highlighted the importance of self-awareness, positive peer influence, family support and timely intervention in preventing substance abuse. The performance urged young people to recognise the warning signs, seek help when needed and choose a productive and meaningful path in life.
The initiative reflected the commitment of the NSS Unit of AIHE towards promoting social awareness, responsible citizenship and community welfare. It also provided students with a platform to develop their communication, confidence, teamwork, creativity and leadership skills while addressing an important social concern.
The Nukkad Natak concluded with a strong and meaningful message for the youth: “Nasha is not an escape; it is a wrong turn. Choose life, choose health, choose your future.”
Through such socially relevant initiatives, AIHE continues to empower its students to become responsible, aware and socially conscious citizens and contribute positively towards building a healthier, safer and drug-free society.
