Axis Colleges organized an educational visit to the Dhamma Kalyana Vipassana Meditation Centre, located along the scenic banks of the Ganga River near Aima Village and Dhori Ghat, for its Architecture students.
Dedicated to the ancient practice of Vipassana – meaning “to see things as they truly are” – the centre provided a peaceful setting for self-purification through self-observation.
This visit, conducted as part of a case study, aimed to explore the centre’s architectural design and functionality, offering students valuable insights into thoughtful and impactful architectural practices.
Guided by our faculty, students gained a deeper understanding of how architecture can harmonize with its environment, enriching their design perspectives.
This experience not only expanded their creative vision but also gave our faculty the opportunity to refine their teaching methods.
